Bornholm, Denmark
A typical street in Borholm, Denmark. We were trying to catch a bus out to some family history sites.
Isn't this cute? It was just handing on the side of a grocery store in Nyker, Denmark.
I LOVE this little door with the yellow accent of the home. This home is right next to a domed church in Nyker, Denmark.
The grounds of the church and the graveyard around the church.
The Ny Kirke, built between 1250 and 1275.
More shots of the grounds and the church.
Finally, inside the doomed church ... isn't it fascinating?
Here is a close-up of the frescoes on the pillar in the center of the room - from 1250 - 1300
A close-up of the wooden chest
This is in the entrance of the church. this is a plague tablet with the number of deaths in each parish during the 2 plague epidemics. Neat, huh?
Next stop ... Klemensker, Denmark.
This church was built in 1882 on the site of the original St. Clement's church (as early as 1335)
A view of the inside of the church
This is a picture of their mail boxes ... I seriously loved it!
