A quick stop at Windsor Castle

How cool is it that Windsor Castle is the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world?!  It was the official home of England's Royal family for 900 years!!  I seriously had no idea.

For more information about visiting Windsor go here:

We really enjoyed our visit here.  The grounds are seriously beautiful!

When you do go make sure you tour Queen Mary's Dollhouse it was seriously fascinating, the Staterooms, St. George's Chapel (where the tombs of King George VI, Queen Mother, and Princess Elizabeth Margaret are located) and Albert's Memorial Chapel.

Below is not one of my pictures, but it gives you and idea of what one of the 4 sides of the dollhouse looks like.  On the bottom floor where the table is set, the plates are real silver.  On the second floor where the royal families portraits hang on either side of the fireplace, they are based off originals that really do exist in the royal family.  I think I liked this more than the kids!
