For our Saturday outing we drove about 1 - 1.5 hours to this tiny town. Modlareuth is what American's call "Little Berlin" because it was a town divided by the Berlin Wall just like Berlin was. Literally the wall went right through the town splitting it in two. It's a pretty amazing story! It was a beautiful sunny day and perfect for the kids because we didn't have to WALK everywhere like we do in big cities.
Prague (for a few hours)
We didn't have a whole lot of time but we wanted to go anyway! We drove to a park n ride, jumped on the subway and headed into the city center where this beauty was! Amazing huh?!

WARNING: DO NOT drive in the city center when trying to get here - it's a 250 Euro fine
(no worries, we didn't do it, but there was a lot of frustration trying to find the tower - it's the same thing in Florence as well.)
The Duomo (Cathedral)
(Pisan Romanesque style)

Naples, Italy
I wanted to go to Naples, Italy in order to visit the Archaeological Museum where a lot of the art from Pompeii was relocated (more information HERE), and to see the Veiled Christ (seen HERE)
The Museum cost 6,50 Euro each (we may have had to pay for our oldest who is 9 but I can't remember)
Toro Farnese
It's 13 feet tall, the tallest ancient marble group ever found, and the largest intact statue from antiquity. Here a woman is being tied to a bulls horns but two men while another woman (back right, I don't think you can see her) stands by watching
